This is a historic vineyard, among the first planted in the '70s; composed of 85% Sangiovese and 15% Alicante (Grenache). From this vineyard comes our Cru, the Riserva Morellino di Scansano Le Sentinelle, wine with a strong character and linked to the traditional style of this classification.
This vineyard is a milestone for the DOCG, as in the 90s the Rauscedo nursery selected from here the genome for the production of the clones of Morellino di Scansano VCR105, VCR 106, VCR 108 and VCR 109. This is proof that part of the Morellino di Scansano history has taken the first steps in our very own vineyards.
